Decontamination involves several steps and techniques. Decontamination is carried out by using :

  • chemical, using products
  • physical, using a clay bar

The chemical products soften and partially destroy the impurities present on your bodywork. The Clay Bar, on the other hand, “traps” the remaining impurities, leaving behind a clean paintwork, ready for the next stages of washing.

    Why do we do a Clay Bar decontamination of your vehicle?

    The Clay Bar decontamination allows for a deeper cleaning of the bodywork. Run your hand over your bodywork. Does it feel rough? This is normal. Despite regular cleaning, some contaminations can be found on your bodywork, such as :

    • Tar
    • Industrial pollutant fallout
    • Resin
    • Road film
    • Etc.

    What contaminants are removed by the decontamination step?

    In this step we remove :

    • Limescale
    • Tar
    • Tree sap
    • Industrial fallout (pollution)
    • Iron particles
    • Etc.

    What decontamination products do we use?

    We use, among other things, an “iron remover”. We use this to remove iron particles stuck in the paintwork of your bodywork, but also brake dust and industrial fallout (pollution).
